Your data
Delete your account
You can delete your Tag My Spa account yourself, from inside either app, without emailing anybody. Here is exactly where the option is, what it removes, and what stays behind.
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Read “What is kept, and why” before you confirm.
Delete it yourself, in the app
Both apps have account deletion built in. It takes four taps and no approval from us.
- Open the Tag My Spa app — or TMS Business, if you are a spa owner or staff member — and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the menu and tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation dialog — it lists exactly what will be removed.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are returned to the login screen. There is no cooling-off period and no way to undo it.
Partners have one condition to clear first, because a shop's guests are owed the appointments they hold. It is described in Partners and staff below.
Partners and staff
TMS Business deletes your account the same way, from the bottom of the Profile tab — but it checks one thing before it lets you confirm.
Finish your bookings first
If any shop you own still has bookings it has accepted and not completed, deletion is refused and the app names the shops and the numbers. That covers appointments still to come and appointments from earlier that were never settled — both are work the shop still owes somebody, and an account that vanished would leave the guest with neither the session nor a cancellation.
Complete or cancel those bookings, then come back to Delete Account. Requests nobody ever answered do not count and will not hold you up.
Only shops you own are checked. If you are a receptionist or a therapist, the bookings belong to the shop's owner rather than to you, and you can delete your account at any time.
Stop new bookings while you settle up
Open Manage Slot and turn Accepting New Bookings off. Your shop stops appearing for guests in the customer app, so nothing new can come in while you work through what is left. It changes nothing else: every booking already made stays exactly as it is, and you and your staff keep full access to the shop to see them through.
If you are the only owner
Hand the shop to somebody else first if you can — the ownership transfer in the app makes them the owner and drops you to receptionist. If you delete your account while you are still a shop's only owner, that shop stops taking new bookings automatically when you go, because an ownerless shop has nobody left who can invite staff, edit its details or run it. Its staff keep their access so they can settle whatever is outstanding, and you can write to us to have it handed to a new owner.
What is deleted
Confirming removes, straight away:
- Your account record — the phone number the account is keyed on, your name, email address, date of birth and gender.
- Your profile photo, deleted from file storage.
- Your notification preferences and your push notification token, so we can no longer send anything to your device.
- Your sign-in session, including the phone number saved locally on your device.
- Partners and staff only — your access to every shop you work in. Your entry is removed from each shop's staff list in the same step, so you disappear from every shop at once rather than lingering on one the owner cannot then make sense of.
Once the account record is gone, nothing can be looked up against your phone number. Signing in with the same number afterwards creates a brand new, empty account — and for a partner, one that has to be invited back into every shop.
What is kept, and why
Some records are not part of your account alone — they are also the spa's records of a transaction between the two of you. These are not deleted:
- Bookings you made. A completed or cancelled booking is part of the spa's own business records, which a business is required to keep. The booking carries the name and number you gave at the time.
- Reviews you posted. A review is public and counts towards the spa's rating; removing it would misrepresent that spa to other guests. If you want a specific review taken down, ask us.
- Reports you filed. Complaints about a spa are kept while they are being handled, and afterwards where there is a reason to.
- Backups and logs may retain copies for a short period before they expire on their normal schedule.
If you want any of the above removed as well — a particular review, or your details on a past booking — say so in an email and we will handle it separately, subject to what the law and the spa's own record-keeping obligations allow.
Requesting deletion by email
Both apps can do this for you, so email is for the cases they cannot: you cannot get into the app at all, you want something kept behind as well (a particular review, say), or you are a shop's only owner and want the shop handed to somebody else or taken down along with your account. Write to contact@tagmyspa.in from an address you can be reached on, and include:
- the phone number your account uses — it is what identifies the account;
- which app the account is on — Tag My Spa (customer) or TMS Business;
- the subject line “Account deletion request”;
- anything extra you want removed, such as a specific review.
We may ask you to confirm you control that phone number before acting, so that nobody else can have your account deleted.
How long it takes
- In the app: immediate.
- By email: we aim to act within 30 days of verifying the request, and usually sooner.
- Backups: residual copies expire on their normal retention schedule after that.
After deletion
- You will stop receiving notifications from us.
- Any booking still in the future is no longer yours to manage in the app — cancel it before you delete your account, or contact the spa directly. Partners cannot reach this point with one outstanding: the app checks first.
- You can sign up again with the same phone number at any time, but nothing from the old account comes back: it starts empty. A partner signing up again has to be invited back into every shop, including one they used to own.
